Sundus Elwan

My name is Sundus Mohamed, I attended undergraduate at Cairo University and received a B.Sc. degree in International Agriculture, major Micro-Biology. My first teaching job was at Rajac International schools and I taught Biology and physical science for high school. I took a little break from teaching in 2007 and worked as a manager for a tissue culture laboratory (Horticulture one) and went to Holland for training to get more knowledge in plants and Horticulture. Teaching is not something to just pay the bills. It’s not a profession where you count down the hours left in the day. It’s a career, but it’s still much more than that, I wanted to become a teacher because I enjoy serving others, and my mom said I have the gift of talking too much. Teaching is so rewarding and gives me a sense that I am making the world a better place one student at a time. My teaching philosophy is very simple students do not care how much you know, until they know how much you care. I show my caring by forming relationships with my students and trying to help them find their dreams and strengths so they can believe in themselves the way I believe in them. Either way they are the future and have unlimited value. I truly believe that teaching is the most important profession in modern society,” “Other than doctors, teachers hold human lives in their hands each and every day.” I say thank you for believing in me and I am paying it forward.
